MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE

Filling in the necessary gaps.

WHAT IS MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE?

This type of insurance, also known as Medigap, helps cover the cost that Original Medicare doesn’t such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. It also offers coverage that Original Medicare doesn’t have like medical care when you travel outside of the United States. It doesn’t, however, cover long-term care, vision or dental care, hearing aids, eyeglasses, or private-duty nursing.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE

  • You must have Medicare Part A and Part B, also known as Original Medicare
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance only covers one person
  • You cannot be sold this policy if you have a Medicare Medical Savings Account Plan

RICHARD MAHAR

I grew up in Northern Michigan. Like most boys, I played all sports, with golf being my best. I played golf in high school and college. While going through these years, I always had a keen interest in personal finance. But I pursued a career as a professional golfer. While doing so, I had the tremendous honor of working for Arnold Palmer for a few years.

Once competing was over, I became a member of the PGA of America. After several years of serving as head professional at a few clubs, I decided I wanted to own my own course. In 1991 I bought a small public course in Eastern KY. I have lived here for the last 28 years. It has been truly a professional pleasure.

Recently I wanted to settle the old curiosity of helping people with personal finance. So I obtained my license to offer help with life and health insurance. I am looking forward to helping people secure, protect and grow their financial future.

WHY YOU NEED MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE

While Original Medicare is very beneficial, many find that it leaves you with a lot of gaps in terms of out-of-pocket fees. Such gaps can really add up over time, which is why Medigap can help. Get in touch with one of our Kentucky based agents today to learn if this coverage can benefit you.
